The Ambassador was a luxury vehicle produced by Nash Motors from 1927 to 1957. The Ambassador started as a top tier trim level and later became a standalone model in 1932. The Ambassador nameplate continued to be used after 1957 and become one of the longest used in auto history. Beginning with the 1935-1942 generation, the Ambassadors were restyled to be a smaller model and the Ambassador Six with Nash’s largest inline six engine was added to the lineup in 1936. Total production for 1936 models was just over 53,000 and the company was profitable all throughout the Great Depression.
