Dodge produced a line of pickup trucks that included the D/W series from 1960 to 1993 across three generations. The D designation indicated a 4×2 model and the W designation indicated the 4×4 model. The 1977 Dodge D150 was part of the third generation that ran from 1972 to 1980. This generation was updated with a more rounded and smooth styling along with being constructed with galvanized steel making them quite durable. Independent front suspension and a four-door option was introduced during this generation. There were two Slant-6 and several V8 engines offered. There were three trim levels offered for 1977: custom, adventurer, and adventurer SE.
