Today’s Classic Truck Finds 4/26/2022

The 1964 C10 was part of the first generation (of four) of the C/K Chevy trucks (the “C” denotes two-wheel drive, and the “K” denotes four-wheel drive). For the first generation, the trucks were given a number to represent the GVWR values of 1/2 (10), 3/4 (20), and 1-ton (30) versions. One of the major new designs for this style of truck was the independent front suspension, giving it more of a car-like ride. Even though it was still considered a strong work truck, it was also marketed to families for mountain traveling and camper pulling. Body options were Stepside or Fleetside (or smooth side). The major upgrade for the 1964 model was the elimination of the wrap-around windshield. Did you know that a 1964 Stepside C10 is the vehicle bought by Walter White from its original owner, Joseph Prado, after he ran out of gas in the middle of the desert in the TV show “Breaking Bad”?
