Dodge produced a line of pickup trucks that included the D/W series from 1960 to 1993 across three generations. The D designation indicated a 4×2 model and the W designation indicated the 4×4 model. The 1972 Dodge D250 was part of the third generation. This generation was updated with a more rounded and smooth styling along with being constructed with galvanized steel making them quite durable. Independent front suspension was also introduced in 1972. A 1972 D series truck was used in the TV show “Emergency!”.
