The Chevrolet 3100 series of trucks came out after World War II with an all-new look, designated the Advanced Design in 1947 and lasting through early 1955.
It featured classic clean lines, a rounded front end with an “alligator” hood, distinctive side body panels, and stylish chrome accents. The 5-bar grille is a standout feature that is well known among classic truck enthusiasts. The design remained basically the same throughout this series’ run.
The engines offered were several different inline six’s. The 3100 designated a 1/2-ton weight.
This series of trucks was number one in sales all during this run in the United States.
