The 1951 Chevrolet Styleline Deluxe was part of the second generation of Chevrolet’s produced post-World War II, which was introduced in 1949 and lasted until 1952. This generation was also called the “Advance-Design” series.
The Styleline Deluxe was a trim level in the 1951 model year that was above the base model, but below the upscale Special, Fleetline, and Bel Air levels. It was available in several body styles including a two-door and four-door sedan, a two-door coupe, a two-door convertible, and a four-door station wagon.
The “Advance-Design” styling consisted of a more steamlined and modern appearance with integrated fenders, a rounded front end, and a prominent horizontal grille.
The engine offered was a 216 cu.in. inline-six paired with a three-speed manual transmission or a 235 cu.in. inline-six paired with a two-speed Powerglide automatic transmission.
Did you know that a 1951 Styleline Deluxe was the car used by Lucy and Desi in a popular episode called “California, Here We Come!” of the Lucille Ball show?
