The Wagoneer is a sport utility vehicle (SUV) produced by Jeep from 1963 to 1993 across three generations. It has also been revived by Jeep in 2020. Jeep spearheaded the SUV market with the Wagoneer with many new innovations and ideas, such as automatic transmission and independent front suspension. It was the first to combine passenger-car styling with four-wheel drive utility. The 1963 model, the SJ, was the very first. This body style stayed in production for 29 years with a mostly unchanged structure. The trim options for the SJ were the Wagoneer, Limited Wagoneer, Grand Wagoneer, and the Final Edition Wagoneer.
