The Plymouth Fury was a line produced by Plymouth from 1955 through 1989. It was marketed as a full-size or mid-size car throughout its seven-generation run. The 1967 model is part of the fourth generation where Chrysler moved the Fury to a full-size car platform. The trim levels were designated the Fury I, Fury II, Fury III, and the Sport Fury, increasing in options for each level. The Sport level was to compete against the Chevy Impala Super Sport and Ford Galaxie 500/XL. This year introduced a new two-door hardtop body style and new safety features to accommodate the new safety regulations. The 1967 also saw the end of the 318 cu.in. (5.2L) V8 engine. For the Fury III, body styles included a hardtop coupe, hardtop sedan, sedan, convertible, and a 6- and 9-passenger wagon. The hardtop coupe and sedan came standard with a six-cylinder engine with the others having a V8. Did you know that a 1967 Fury III was used quite often in the TV show MythBusters?
