  • 1966 Chevy C20
  • The 1966 C20 was the last year of the first generation (of four) of the C/K Chevy trucks (the “C” denotes two-wheel drive, and the “K” denotes four-wheel drive). For the first generation, the trucks were given a number to represent the GVWR values of 1/2 (10), 3/4 (20), and 1-ton (30) versions. One of the major new designs for this style of truck was the independent front suspension, giving it more of a car-like ride. Even though it was still considered a strong work truck, it was also marketed to families for mountain traveling and camper pulling. Body options were Stepside or Fleetside (or smooth side). The 1966 model was mainly unchanged from the 1965 model (when air conditioning was added as an option). There was also a new engine option added to the lineup as a 250cu inline six-cylinder.
