The M37 was a 3/4-ton 4×4 military work truck produced by Dodge from 1951 to 1968. It was a popular continuation of the WC series of World War II and was highly used during the Korean War by the US Armed Forces. The successful components of the WC series were kept while correcting all the problems of that series, most prominently replacing the platform bed with a standard pickup style bed. There were many different variants of this work truck introduced with the number following the “M” label signifying its use. The standard engine offering was the Dodge T-245 230 cu.in. (3.8L) six cylinder. After the war, this truck was so popular that a civilian version Power Wagon was developed.
