Today’s Classic Truck Finds 12/28/2022

The Scout is an off-road vehicle produced by International Harvester from 1961 to 1980 and was a lead-in to the SUV. It entered a very small market and became a competitor to Jeep, which was the only one of its kind at the time. The Scout 800 was introduced in late 1965 and lasted until 1968 until replaced by the Scout 800A. The 800 had many upgrades and improvements in comfort and design. The fold-down windshield was still offered for the 800 as well. The engine offerings were the 2.5L Comanche, 3.2L I4, 3.8L I6, and the 4.4L V8. There were also several different body styles available as well.

For a nice history of the Scout, see these articles on HIConsumption.com and Carsforsale.com. A five-year sales history can be seen at Classic.com. For a more in-depth detailing and specifications, see Automobile-catalog.com. See current values at Collectorcarmarket.com and on Hagerty.ca (might have to make a free account to read).
