Today’s Classic Truck Finds 07/03/2023

The 1969 Chevrolet C10 was part of a long run of pickup trucks spanning four generations from 1960 to 2002. As part of the second generation “Action Line” (1967 to 1972) of C/K trucks, where the “C” in C/K stood for 4×2 trucks and the “K” represented the 4×4 ones, the C10 showcased a fresh and modern design. Its squared-off and muscular appearance, characterized by a wider stance and a bold rectangular front grille, captured the attention of truck enthusiasts. The 1969 C10 was available in various body styles, including regular cab, crew cab, and panel van, providing versatility for different needs. It also had two bed configurations: the smooth Fleetside and the fendered Stepside. Trim offerings included the CST (Custom Sport Truck) and Cheyenne.

Under the hood, the 1969 C10 offered a range of engine options. The base model featured a 250 cubic inch inline-six engine with around 155 horsepower, while additional choices included V8 engines such as the 283 cubic inch, 307 cubic inch, and 350 cubic inch variants. Transmission options encompassed three-speed and four-speed manual transmissions, as well as a three-speed automatic. This diversity of powertrain options allowed buyers to select the configuration that suited their preferences and requirements.
